At Little Prints Daycare, our team at Jacko Contracting was thrilled to help create a safer and more enjoyable outdoor space for the children. The existing deck and playground structure had become unsafe, so our goal was to restore full functionality while ensuring long-term safety and durability.
This project began with the complete removal and disposal of the old deck. We then rebuilt both the upper and lower deck frames, covering a combined area of approximately 600 sq. ft. To ensure weather resistance and extend the lifespan of the structure, we installed joist tape throughout all framing components.
For the new decking, we used 2×6 pressure-treated lumber for enhanced strength, topped with a 2×8 border for a clean, finished look. Our team also constructed new sets of stairs and added under-deck vents to improve airflow and reduce moisture buildup.
